Interlibrary Loan Services
Interlibrary Loan (ILL) is a service that allows patrons to request and borrow items that the library does not own. This service is provided to registered patrons of the Merrimack Valley Library Consortium (MVLC).
To request items use the MVLC catalog or contact a library staff member for help.
For items that are not in the MVLC catalog contact the Reference Desk to make the request. Materials may be retrieved from local networks with which we have a reciprocal agreement or from libraries throughout the country using the OCLC system.
Items that are in the MVLC catalog take two to four business days to arrive if there is no waiting list. Items requested from outside of the consortium range from 3 days to several weeks to arrive.
Please request only what you need. While the Gleason Library is delighted to be able to offer you this service, please be aware that there is a running cost to the library. The service is supported with your tax dollars, including state funds provided by the Governor and Massachusetts Legislature.
