Story Times are ongoing for ages 0-6 years old. Story times consist of age-appropriate stories, rhymes, and fingerplays. Crafts are included in the programs for ages 3-6. Registration for fall, winter and spring sessions is required.
Participation in a library story time program is a great way to introduce new books to your child, help them foster a love of reading, and give them a chance to make new friends. They are also fun and sometimes crafty too.
Story time sign-up for the Winter Story Time sessions at the Gleason Public Library begins on Monday, January 12. Story times encourage literacy skills and language development. The development of early literacy skills is important for reading success when a child enters school. Story time is fun and interactive with stories, finger plays and crafts.
